For complete transparency, you can explore our detailed profile, including annual Financial Reports and IRS Form 990 filings, in the official New York State Charities Database.
The Woodhaven Business Improvement District is one of 78 BIDs across New York City. BIDs work to create vibrant, clean, and safe commercial districts by delivering enhanced services and improvements that go well beyond standard city offerings. These services include:
- Street cleaning and maintenance
- Public safety and hospitality
- Marketing and events
- Capital improvements
- Beautification
- Advocacy
- Business development
BID services do not replace those provided by the City. By law, the City cannot reduce its services because a BID exists in the area.BIDs also play a vital role in branding their districts and promoting small businesses along their corridors. They facilitate merchant networking, organize community events, and advocate for meaningful improvements. Acting as a trusted liaison between local businesses, stakeholders, and city government, BIDs provide a strong collective voice for the neighborhood and help shape city policy with on-the-ground knowledge and insight.
