The Woodhaven Business Improvement District was established in 1993 by Woodhaven property owners, business investors, and community leaders to complement, expand, and actively encourage the full retail and commercial development of Woodhaven’s Jamaica Avenue into the new millennium and beyond.

Today, the BID works tirelessly to make Jamaica Avenue a destination where people love to shop, live, and do business. We sponsor exciting programs and memorable community events that bring neighbors together and celebrate the unique spirit of Woodhaven. We also partner with trusted outside vendors to deliver essential services, including regular sanitation and prompt graffiti and vandalism removal, keeping our streets clean, safe, and beautiful for everyone who visits, works, or calls this neighborhood home.
