Getting Around Woodhaven

Woodhaven is easily accessible by public transportation and car, placing the vibrant Jamaica Avenue corridor within easy reach for visitors and locals alike.

The MTA “J” and “Z” trains run directly along the avenue, and several bus lines also serve the area, including the Q56 along Jamaica Avenue.  Buses along the Woodhaven Blvd corridor conveniently connect riders to Jamaica Avenue.

By car, Woodhaven Boulevard serves as the main north-south artery, seamlessly connecting Jamaica Avenue to major highways. With convenient transit options and straightforward driving access, getting to and around the Woodhaven BID is simple and stress-free. Ample street parking is also available throughout the district.

HOW TO GET HERE
By Bus

Take the Q56 bus along Jamaica Ave.

Take the Q11, Q52-SBS or Q53-SBS (express) to Jamaica Ave.

By Subway

Take the J” train to 85 St – Forest Pkwy for local stops or take the Z” train to Woodhaven Blvd.

By Car

Woodhaven Boulevard is a major north-south artery that connects Jamaica Avenue to major highways, offering easy vehicular access from all directions:

From the north: Woodhaven Boulevard links directly to the Long Island Expressway (LIE / I-495) at Exit 19.
From the east: Take the Jackie Robinson Parkway to Exit 4, then follow Forest Park Drive to Jamaica Avenue.
From the south: Take the Belt Parkway to Exit 17 (Cross Bay Boulevard), then head north on Cross Bay Boulevard to Woodhaven Boulevard.
