Emelinda Rosario, owner of the new Woodhaven restaurant, has been in the restaurant business her whole life. She has lived in New York for twenty-three years, twenty of which have been spent in the restaurant industry. Her first restaurant, Goldfish Restaurant, was in Brooklyn. She left after the building got new owners; she chose to not renew her lease. She then launched Brisas Del Mar in Spanish Harlem. Brisas Del Mar did so well that she founded its second location here in Woodhaven.

Ms. Rosario loves being in the kitchen and has been cooking

since she was a little girl of eight years old. Her daughter has followed in her footsteps, learning to cook from a young age, as well. Her food is healthy, fresh and all recipes are her own. She creates her own menu and restaurant décor. Prior to being in the food industry, Emelinda stitched clothes at a factory.

She is committed to serving customers

every day, commuting to Woodhaven all the way from Riverdale in the Bronx and prefers to keep busy, as she is opening a juice bar in Manhattan within the next few weeks.
